    Design education in the era of AI

    Kun-pyo LEE is Dean of School of Design the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he was the Professor at the Department of Industrial Design, KAIST, South Korea and the director of the Human-Centered Interaction Design Lab for more than 30 years. He is co-founder and president emeritus of IASDR (International Association of Societies of Design Research). He also served as Chief Design Officer (Executive Vice President) of Corporate Design Center, LG Electronics. He is well known in Asia as an early pioneer in the field of design research, UX design and user-centered design, for which he was recognized as Honorary Fellow of the Design Research Society, and Local Hero at CHI 2015. After returning back to KAIST from LG with unique experiences in industry and academia he has been focusing on establishing a new design education paradigm under the name of Design 3.0.

    Ki-Sik Park is President-CEO of BEPA(Busan Economic Promotion Agency). Before joining BEPA, he worked for 29 years at KOTRA(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) and served as Executive Coordinator and Executive Vice President. He has also served as vice president at Hanmi Pharmaceutica Co, LTD. Vice president of Dohwa Engineering, vice president of Strategy Technology Management Institute(STEMI), and vice president of Global Business Research Center(GBRC). After that, he worked as the Vice Chairman of Pyunghwa Engineering Consultants Ltd. He majored in economics at Pusan National University and got a master's degree in international business administration from YONSEI University. He also received a master's degree in Science & Technology Management from New York State University in the United States and a doctorate in economics from Kyushu University in Japan.
